I baked a sourdough oat bread today. It was pretty good with my eggs and veggies. But the Purple Dragon Kimchi I finished today is amazing! The color, texture, and flavor is *mwah*. Of course, laundry and homeschooling and cleaning and whatnot.

Probably the best thing I did today, though, was start a new notebook for the year. On the first page, I listed all of the things I still want to do (that page is ridiculously full).

On page two I listed my core values and the character traits I want to cultivate more (which, perhaps not ironically, have a lot to do with remembering my core values).

Page three: lists of clutter to clear (physical, mental...) and reasonable first steps to take towards those page one goals. Because every goal I ever hit is little by little (did I mention all the laundry and homeschooling and "whatnot"?)

It was a whole lot of physical and mental work today. I'm tired.

Tomorrow if I may I think I'll go to my local bookshop and find a new novel or two to disappear into for the winter. I like historical fiction...any recommendations?

Any particular history, or just historical in general?

The Sackett trilogy by Louis LAmour is 1600s -1700s "New World", and follows the Sackett family.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've read mostly ww2 but I'm open to other eras.
