What else do I need to learn from Mohamed? His character is enough. His plans to subvert and take over are enough. What else do I need to learn on top of those things? I would put forth that I do not need to know anything else. His fruit is evident. His fruit is ignorance, violence, strife, conquest. Screw that.
Yes that is all true. But that is not “the narrative for Islam”, that is Islam.
Those who oppose the killing of infidels oppose their holy book, which is believed by them to be the literal word of God. Emphasis on literal. God dictated it to Mahomet. And conveniently told him it’s okay to kill all his enemies, for they are also “the enemies of God”.
There is no narrative. This is it. This is Islam.
Reforming it to remove the calls for killing means destroying the concept that its infallible, and most muslims will not accept that. They are simply incapable of doing it.
