I have 4 kids using WoS for #bitcoin savings (chores and such) With in 1 hr of finding out that nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq is not on the Apple App Store, I was able to set up Muun wallets for my kids and transfer their funds. Can you imagine how long this opening and closing of accounts would have taken in the traditional financial system? This is permissionless money!

It's not WoS that's the problem. It's apple removing the apps from phones...why? Well because people are dumb and agree to apples terms of control cough I mean service, when using apples product, even after we all watched what happened to damus.

Also, being one of the larger lightning node runners, Apple and google may just be trying to get rid of the competition it seems.

WoS is the nostr OG wallet. Everyone here has used it at somepoint. I do not see them, fucking us over.

Imo, ODell has yall worked up and ditching WoS instead of rallying to support that they win the war against these 2 evil corporations.

Name a better, faster, and easier wallet for onboarding new users into the world of bitcoin and nostr.

I'll wait as long as I need to!

WoS is easily the best for onboarding and the one that I usually recommend. Was shocked muun was so easy but you are right, all of us have used WoS so don’t think they are trying to screw anyone over but there is an inherent 3rd party risk with WoS that there isn’t with some of the other wallets (phoenix, muun, etc.)

Considering now a days with the reach of government surveillance, if your keys where not created air gapped, IMO,it's prolly not your bitcoin and the government most likely has a copy of your keys somewhere...

Life, is risk.

We all should be rallying behind WoS, not ditching them!

Where tf would nostr be, if we never had WoS?

Now imagine if you will...

Bitcoin without its moral coding.

(It's ETH, isnt it 🤣)

But I think there's a good lesson for all of us in the morality of bitcoins coding if we apply it to our own, internal coding.
