In the last 2 seasons they really dropped the part bitcoin seemed to be playing in the ongoing show's direction. I have a feeling the creator of the show and many cast members and crew who ended up totally woke dropped bitcoin being a part of the ongoing show plot when a lot of the environmental and other FUD started up.
Didn't get a woke vibe from Mr Robot at all (thank fuck) but yeah the Bitcoin plot was either in the background or brought up during the push to bring in ECoin or the China UN vote.
I would have loved to see the Bitcoin vs ECoin plotline become developed further but I think it wasn't just because of everything else going on in the show, the focus had moved from the "post-revolution" society to the shadowy shit going on in the background.
