This feud has to stop! Nostr v. OPA is a futile argument.

Jack, the implications of nostr are huge, yes. I can see them, too.

Matteo, give nostr fair chance.

One thing that nostr can't do is connect me with other bitcoiners in my area via the proximity function. That way I can connect with local bitcoiners when I travel without doxxing my itinerary on twitter.

Nothing builds mutual respect like completing a project together. I propose building an opt in proximity function for the nostr.

And one last thing for both of you. You're trying to compare a protocol to a platform. Apples and oranges, man.

I should also point our, Matteo, that Jacks statement on the "B" word conference call with Musk, "World Peace", won't be created by Bitcoin. The scarcity of resources will still cause war. But a truly united global population will. Nostr and OPA are different. That's all. One is not "Better" than the other.

For the record I’ve never compared nostr to OPA, which are very different products.

My skepticism of nostr is due to the enormous flaws in the protocol design, which i have explained at length on Twitter and I’ll do my best to recount them here in the coming days.
