Good to know this. I always manually update my node and I use the rm -rf command to delete the old folders and files, but if I make a mistake I would wipe it with rm -fr?

I'm no Linux expert but I'd say just be absolutely sure before you run it...I believe I ran it on the base directory... Was more of a newb than I was now 😅

There was a whole section "creative uses of rm" on the netnews platform before the internet. Yes, there was a time before the internet 😅

Yes, if you're concerned about this, you should either have backups you regularly restore, or make an alias to rm to actually move stuff to .Trash you wipe later.
