people want to make this about gender and it obviously isn't
The worst I've experienced was someone female-presenting just going completely apeshit, it's true.
It's more about how women respond differently to it, are less willing to suffer it for long, and about how we're much more tempting targets.
it's also a common cloak for actually males with predatory intent as well
there is some disturbed units out there and some of them are professionals at being disturbed, i encountered one yesterday trying to push my buttons
i have an eye for subtext that i doubt anyone can decieve... i can read AI text when i see it and i can read pretense when i see it, in just a few words, in a sequence of exchanges
most people just aren't very good at reading and/or are deluded by models of the world that don't involve vicious soul eaters prowling among us
