Had some old non kyc bitcoin that I sent to cold storage. Later, I sent some btc purchased through kyc means to the same cold storage (although I made a new address within the cold storage) .
Is the non kyc bitcoin now tied to my identity?

Not until you consolidate the uxtos - label them accordingly and make sure you dont spend them together
I think the answer is maybe... If somehow you expose the xpub then I think all addresses might be linkable. That's my first thought without re-researching.
Not likely
Could you bolt12 them and obfuscate
It’s possible to keep them separate if you use coin control when you spend from that account. I would label the UTXOs so you remember which UTXOs are non-kyc. Unfortunately, not all wallets support coin control. For example, nostr:nprofile1qqs9mvjd9uym8ey4w5vevlrxqfesm666cm6su27svcwqfvj8ztvhlgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejqsg4n4t doesn’t support coin control. I really hope they add coin control soon.
Only you can see your UTXOs in the same cold storage wallet. There is no way for an outsider to correlate UTXO A and UTXO B unless you combine them into a single UTXO.
