There is so much more to #bitcoin than its exchange rate with the dollar. But for most people this exchange rate is what first catches their attention.

Bitcoin - dollar exchange rate as of December:

2009: $0

2010: <$1

2011: $4

2012: $13

2013: $754

2014: $320

2015: $431

2016: $964

2017: $13,800

2018: $3,740

2019: $7,216

2020: $28,994

2021: $46,388

2022: $16,548

2023: $43,700

2024: $95,500 (as I type)

But once people understand why bitcoin increases in value relative to the dollar, they begin to realize it’s more than just an investment - it’s a completely alternative financial system that fixes the inflation problem of debt-based, government issued currency.

With bitcoin the ability to save in hard money for the future changes people’s financial perspective from anxiety to optimism.

They'd miss all the deep psychological and even theological ramifications of falling into everything #Bitcoin means, if people kept NGU as the only reason to own any Bitcoin.

I love this picture and your take on it!
