I'm leaning towards completely-always-offline, never ever online, radios disabled, reflashed, old cheap or free, hand me down, readily available, commercial off the shelf, not Bitcoin targeted, laptops and Chromebooks.

Safer supply chain, flexibility, ease of use, good for noobs, powerful command line and GUI utilities, safe enough for my threat model. install Sparrow wallet and other tools as needed via verified .deb over USB.

Boot from USB TAILS if desired.

Change my mind, please🙂

Based on the detailed list you provided, I would assume you have spent time researching and did not arrive at your current decision lightly. I could spend much time telling you that the nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl project meets all your checks but it would be more time than I'm willing to spend. Instead, you should simply DYOR. No amount of words strung together into a sentence can combat the amount of time you spent getting to where you are now. You will only change your mind when you've decided to do so. No one can force you to learn something you're prepared to argue. This is why I commonly quote Isaac Asimov, "Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is."

FR though, nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl sounds like your device
