what's the point of the zaps? the nostr client which i use (amethyst on phone), doesn't even show them easily so if i get zapped it's already expired when i find about it. Maybe im just nostr noobie.

You need a lightning wallet set up so that you can receive zaps which are done in sats. 1 bitcoin has 1 million sats. So basically a sat to a bitcoin is like a cent to a euro.
