WHAT I HEAR MORE FREQUENTLY THAN THAT IS:
"I AM ALREADY FUCKED. THERE IS NO REASON TO IMPROVE."
People may think they're fucked but they can at the least be INFORMED on the situation so they can react appropriately. But that seems to be too stressful for the dociles in our society...
