So let me get this straight, the US is sending an obsolete aircraft carrier built in 1975 and that's set to be decommissioned early next year directly in range of Iranian (and Israeli) ballistic missiles?

Hopefully they at least let the crew say goodbye to their families.

So it can easily be destroyed by them, so it gives the US the excuse to go to war with them

Having served on a Nimitz class I can tell you it is definitely not obsolete. Use a different word.
