Is your library open past midnight?? 🧐

Nah this is Hatchards bookstore 😁🫂 I wish there was an all night public library here, but I don’t think there is

Been wanting to dip my toes into poetry lately. I’ve tried to read Dylan Thomas in the past, but I found it to be quite advanced for me

Do you have any good recommendations to start? Or at least, your favourites?

I get this, I always hear good things about Dylan Thomas - hey! he’s a Dylan too 🫂🙏🏽 - he’s cool but I don’t feel much when I read his stuff - haven’t read much of it though, this could always change. Not saying i don’t like his stuff, he’s brilliant, of course, I just think he’s not the voice for me, and maybe not for you either - right now, this could always change 🫂

I like reading a bunch of random poems from books in the bookshop and the first one that makes me feel something is one to explore. Maybe the one that make me go ‘wow, that’s me 🤯’ or does something to my heart and makes me think.

I dunno if this is how you’re meant to do it, just how I like to explore poetry 🫂🙏🏽

My favourites at the minute are Conan Gray, Kendrick Lamar, Tems (musicians - beautiful lyrics that make me feel), Emily Brontë, Emily Dickinson, Baudelaire and Shakespeare

Beautiful, thank you for the inspiration 🙌🏻

No worries! 🫂🫂🙏🏽
