Can you please share a bit more about your setup for Computing and Communication?

This is an area I want to make progress this year, towards a freedom tech.

It will be a journey.

And I guess I'm looking for the right balance for me, between a convenience of a mindless use of big tech vs freedom tech, which of course comes with some usability drawbacks, and costs, and work.

Thank you.

Good luck!

I think my setup would just scare you. 😆

Unless you want to host your own email server and search engine instance, and use only old repairable hardware. 🤓

One way to approach it is to find the area of your life which is most bigtech reliant, and chip away at it. Try to find a solution to one thing, and experiment with transitioning. Its very difficult to do all at once for most people. Just keep chipping away at it one service at a time.

And dont be afraid to do trial experiments. Like, not using a certain thing for a week. Just to see how you work around it. When you gamify and observe it can make it more interesting and fun.

Thank you. Helpful point. Yes I'm by far earlier in this journey :-)
