I ask my local coffee shop barista when they will accept BTC,

she said, "I wish, but probably never, the owner thinks it's tulips..."

I'll work on this local problem.

You should chat with Jack Spirko about why it’s challenging for businesses to accept BTC

Most retailers won’t adopt BTC until it’s at least another 10x higher than now. Not enough liquidity, payment rails not developed enough.

Farmers markets are great for these moments.

One of the most significant realizations for me was that I can live on a Bitcoin standard even if my local coffee shop doesn't. I just give them a credit card and dump fiat onto them. Ultimately, they're only hurting themselves. And I use the cash back to buy more Bitcoin. We are in a transition right now and there are many ways to take advantage of it for yourself even when others won't. The local coffee shop owner doesn't matter anymore. We are past that point now. He will get on board or get ran over. It's a harsh reality.

That said, there are still taxation and technical issues even if the owner did get it. Capital gains are a nightmare to deal with for a lot of transactions.

At least she sounds orange pilled

This is the way

Tell him where he can put his two lips when he finally decides he wants to accept your Bitcoin. No Bitcoin For You!

What i did is get the barista to accept BTC on primal and pay her in BTC for the coffee and she pays the shop fiat.. she saves BTC and eventually the shop will adopt.. most owners don’t understand it..

You and the barista should run your own coffee shop
