I agree with this. I should have said “Those who can’t control their reactions to their emotions are easy to control.”

I feel like I see examples of this every day with msm manipulation tactics and politicians who stoke fires by appealing to emotion.

Yeah having feelings arise within you is largely unavoidable but as you say, you can choose not to act on those emotions. Fear & greed probably have the worst outcomes when you take action, with anger coming in a close third. We keep these emotions alive through the stories we tell ourselves. Otherwise they would simply pass.

Fear is the definitely the preferred tool for those who like to control us.

I enjoy discussing & articulating my thoughts on these types of things. I think that they're not unimportant.
