only because the jackasses like fiatjaf and mikedilger and others literally think that they are doxxing themselves by authing to their npub on rando relays
because of this idiotic superstition clients have not got auth working
with auth, you can't see jack shit of other people's DMs, because the relay only serves them to relevant parties
ps: you can fucking use TOR YOU DUMBASS (maybe not you, maybe i just mean the numbskulls that idiotically believe that solving teh sync problem makes privacy impossible)

Nostr is great for censorship resistance but currently not so great for privacy. Someone on here had a great post elaborating on how those are two different things.

Yes, absolutely! Most folks on here are very interested in both, and I think devs are working on bringing more privacy to Nostr.
But it's impt to recognize that they're separate needs and present different technological challenges - and Nostr is still in relatively early days on the privacy front in particular.
i have all faith in the devs to solve the technological challenges set before them 😊
