How many of these stupid iris ai reply bots are there? Is it replyguy part 2? Or is it someone who thinks they're genuinely good/funny?

well i didn't look in to it much but that was my assumption straight away. create enough ai reply guys and farm zaps... what other incentive is there to bother?

which is kinda weird if you think about it...

where does it end? forget ai art and ai music. how do you know the people you are interacting with are even real when there is an incentive for robots to pose as people

They could be farming for follows to breach web of trust. Or it could be like reply*guy (not sure if you remember /were around for that) that guy just wanted to annoy people (and it worked lol)

I think a bit of everything. A splash of whatsapp / telegram scam bots, some bots meant to stress nostr flaws, of course zap farming etc etc. I think we'll see a lot more of this as nostr gains traction. Most scammers probably don't think nostr is "worth it" yet. Majority of the users here are too well educated to fall for their shit.

A lot of people follow absolutely anyone back too tho, I think there might be some sort of exploit there with wot (no idea, just guessing)
