I have been pushing the noble curves as well. Both indexDB and OPFS are origin specific so the solution is definitely in handling the keys. One advantage of OPFS is you can’t view it via inspecting the web app in the browser without an extension. It’s sandboxed just like indexDB, but isolated out of the default tools which helps hide some of the attributes of the data structure.
