Hello everyone,

I was wrong.

I had the impression that MSTR would lose its bitcoin premium in equity markets this year as the ETFs gained adoption, institutions looked for trust/savings vehicles, and other products would replace the stock as a holding vehicle.

I wasn't bearish, but I just thought it would cease to trade with BTC and go back to trading like a normal SAAS stock.

Instead, I now think MSTR is essentially a better version of the ETFs- no fees, no fund managers, no lockout periods, and a cashflowing business underneath to back the purchases- like my friend Atlas pointed out to me yesterday.

I bought my first options today.

Let's get this bread.

my nagging thought on it: proof of reserves or it didn’t happen

You want a screenshot of my MSTR option but?

sorry I meant proof of microstrategy’s bitcoin ownership

I realize now my response wasn’t very clear

don’t get me wrong, I think what they are doing is kind of genius from a fiat-games perspective. what makes me cautious on it all is that it’s still all based on a model of trust. and as we all know, “…history is full of breaches of that trust”

My allocation is still 90% BTC in cold storage

I'm also concerned about their custody. Currently they hold all bitcoin with Coinbase. I'd like there to be at least one and ideally several custodians holding their bitcoin.

it’s also wild to me that the biggest asset management company in the world relies on coinbase to custody magic internet money

Stay humble fren

Very humble. My portfolio is 90% BTC still

Almost all of which is in cold storage

💪 In that case, hope you have some fun on the side!

To be fair, I was forced into getting some MSTR a few months ago due to the complexity of the UK tax and pension system. The recent premium assuages the loss I feel from no longer controlling the utxos.

How far out?!

June 2025 is the earliest

What do you think about the premium? In the long term, it has to converge to just slightly above 1x, no?

Not if it’s the siphon from the fiat system
