I primarily use Breez and Phoenix and like them both. I prefer Breez for its features, but both are great. They are both mobile apps that run a node on your phone. Your initial transaction will establish a channel to send/receive, and after that if you receive more than your channel can hold, they will automatically open a new channel for you. That results in channel opening fees, so it’s best try and avoid that happening too often.

Other self-custodial mobile wallets being developed are Mutiny and Zeus’s new update (still in beta), which also both run your own mobile node, but I haven’t used them enough to give an opinion.
