Still don't really understand when the total zap amount for a post shows. Seems so random, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

If the button was hit by a user who has a NIP-57 supported wallet, the amount tipped will show on the post. If the tip was initiated by a non NIP-57 supported wallet, it'll go unrecorded.
Most people right now confuse tipping with zapping.
