Dumbing down? I’d say, “abstracting” so the user can focus on a higher function. Same as with many other things in life and technology 🐶🐾🫡

It is the reason total number of users exploded and with that the average went down. It is a trade off that improved the life of many. And the advanced users still have the choice to make and use non-dumbed down tools.

I believe centralisation is and the UX benefits came afterwards (and making everyone more dumb and lazy, because you self-thinking is reduced)
