Today in 2006, Glenn Ford died. Born in Sainte-Christine-d'Auvergne, Quebec in 1916, he was the great-nephew of Sir John A. Macdonald.

In his career from 1937 to 1991, he earned three Golden Globe nominations, a BAFTA nomination and has an asteroid named for him.
