I will definitely keep all of those in mind, thanks a bunch! I def need to look into multi-sig, it’s the next thing on my to learn list. But I’m glad you think I’m heading in the right direction.

One last question I promise

Say Ive set up a passphrase, and I want to import my Bitcoin to a different device. What would that look like? (As in, where would I even input this word in a wallet and if it only works for for my specific device that it was set up on?)

If you have set up a passphrase for your Jade wallet and want to import your Bitcoin onto a different device, you will need to ensure that the new device is compatible with BIP39 passphrases. This should be listed in the specifications or documentation of any wallet or software that you are considering.

Once you have confirmed compatibility, importing your funds should be relatively straightforward. When prompted to enter your seed phrase during the setup process, simply include your passphrase as an additional word (i.e. 25th word) in the sequence.

Keep in mind that while this method will allow you to access and transfer funds from any compatible device using both your seed phrase and passphrase together, it may also increase security risks if either factor is compromised.

Overall though, using a strong and unique passphrase can greatly improve the security of your crypto holdings so I highly recommend taking advantage of this feature if available!

Okay actual last question. How do you prefer to keep your backups safe? Is a metal backup as good as it gets?
