Unpopular opinion:

Many participants in the Bitcoin community (myself included, probably) like to see themselves as great critical thinkers.

The reality is that they (we) sometimes are just contrarians and take opinions from “Bitcoin influencers” as the truth.

Thus, instead of thinking with our own minds we just take whatever is different from the mainstream thought as the inalienable truth.

We should not be parroting what other say. We must be thinking critically on every aspect, every decision and every opinion.

Otherwise we are just no better than the bots and NPCs.

Agreed… also enjoy your life.. join community and spread love … we are live on Internet Era where we not see each other but have same opinion about something. #bitcoin is one of them.

Fair point but if you’re gonna pick a primitive heuristic going against the grain isn’t the worst.

Def don’t like the orange NPC mindset need to take into consideration available facts before jumping to conclusion ALWAYS. That is the real proof of work.

Of course, I agree on that. However, is the parroting that annoys me.

Reading the very same things everytime, without the slightest thinking behind is something that bothers me in the end, because it underlines that we are no better.
