next version of #noStrudel is going to have a hacky gif search. and when I say hacky I mean it barley works because its built using 1063 events and NIP-50 search

although It should get better as more 1063 events are published and as search relays get better

If you need a better gif search you should use https://gifbuddy.lol/ which will download the gif from tenor and publish a 1063 event to nostr so its available to everyone else

Should we rename NIP-94 to "gif search" and discourage any other events from being published on that kind, reserving it to gifs?

I have plans to publish STL 3d printing files using 1063 events too,Its going to be mess πŸ˜€

We could have another kind just for that STL whatever that is.

Ill probably do that for grouping them into "objects" and "versions", but for the files themselves I really like the idea of publishing a 1063 event with the mime type

Add NIP-09 delete events in and you have a flat file management UI

That was kind of what I had in mind for it years ago, but I'm not sure that is super useful anymore. Doesn't Blossom supersede all these functions anyway? Oh, whatever.

Not really. the goal with blossom was to create a content addressable system, but users still need a way to manage those files and keep track of them

nice, i want damus gifs to work the same way

How does it deal with duplicates?
