Boom. 2.5gbit is available in my area now. I imagine 10 won’t be long.

I’m excited but I also know it’s gonna cost me as I am “forced” to upgrade all my network gear.

Exactly. Lucky for me I have a compatible router. I might need a switch as well though.

They are frustratingly expensive at the moment if you want anything that does more than pass-thru one 10gig line.

We have 10gbit in our area, but who can afford that? $150/month. With that you can stream 1,700 movies simultaneously.

250Mbit works great, costs less.

Maybe in 20y I'll also have a chance to get that

i get 1g fiber but even that is way too much for my household of 2.

Been building my home-lab to 10Gb but not sure having WAN past 1Gb would be even worth it. I hardly use even that bandwidth.

i can barely get 30 mbps
