I agree that it will be more like '17 than '21.
What I'd caution against is expecting it all to play out like it did in epoch 2.
I think selling the top of '25 & buying back in during '26 or '27 is going to be a horrific strategy. By all means hedge against another brutal bear market, but don't count on it.
