I think it's a little like the carnivore diet in that many of the benefits of homeschooling come from what you're not doing rather than homeschooling itself.

The family unit is not completely dispersed for half the day.

You're not subjecting your children to 10-12 years of fear programming & social conditioning.

I don't think the approach to schooling matters as much as those 2 things.
