This is my first day of Parenting Half-Freedom, where I don't have to wake up at 5:30 AM to drag and cajole a recalcitrant teenage school kid into their clothes and out of the door, two hours later.

Today is the day where I became a Morning Enjoyer and Home Office Enthusiast. I started off this new phase in life with a morning walk, in what passes for sunshine ⛅ in Bavaria, and then I tidied up the kitchen and swept the front step 🧹, and enjoyed a cup of ☕ and scrolled some Nostr, while listening to the soft rain ☔ falling on the roof, and now I'm actually looking forward to working all day.
