Ok, so, Protection of life, liberty and property of the people is the basic duty of the state.

People are not always nice and harmless. Just because you are a nice and honest person, doesn't mean you will just stand still and get beaten or killed by violent people. The state have to use counter force to protect people from such violent actors,.,domestic or external,😄☕🎈👍.
