For about 9 months or so, I’ve been frustrated with the #fold card. It work at some merchants and not at others.

Despite the error message in this screenshot, the problem is NOT my PIN.

I’ve contacted support at the fold card. They point fingers at the merchant. And the merchant puts fault on the Visa card, of course.

Thinking critically for a moment,….. the merchants (Casey’s gas stations and Hyvee Grocery stores) would not be in business if they didn’t have working credit/debit machines.

The #Fold card works with online transactions, Walmart and other convenience stores. It works as credit and debit.

I have successfully transferred my rewards to a #bitcoin wallet several times. It’s just not reliable with all merchants.

the recent issue for me is stuck sats. 68k + and when I go to withdraw it say "0"

I'm waiting for a glitch to be fixed in an update, but now I have more concerns. I'll be using it less. probably close it out at some point. shrugs.

You have to have 50k sats rewards for 30 days before you can transfer.

Our experience with fold was complete garbage. We could never even get it set up and their customer support was as helpful as a 404 error page.

So I’m not the only one.

Yeah, I was really disappointed. There’s some things I’ll let slide because the state-of-the-art factor (nostr, abovephone, etc..) but fold was just boo-boo from the get go.

I had a run on my account one morning. I do not know how my card was compromised, but I had 100+ fraudulent charges in 3 mins one morning paid to Google *Youtube. I froze the card while all but one transaction were pending, submitted a claim through the app to try to stop them.

They refunded most of it, but I'm still going through the process of getting back the rest of my money. Its a nightmare dealing with the claims department or whoever. No one to call, only an email response when they feel like it. Very sad.

Still non-responsive. Twatter DMs said would escalate a few weeks ago, got responses for about an hour and 3 emails with them, then dropped like a rock. Twatter DM again, they did respond "ok, checking in with support on 12/19. Still no more emails about this. I'm still out $700 from Oct. 30. The lack of communication is the major red flag, not even I'm still out $700 and have literally no idea how it was initially compromised. #grownostr
