I'm a tad bit confused. Whats the difference between muting someone on any other centralized social media platform or some decentralized platform?

It only works in one direction.

How?

If you mute someone on here, they can still see you, but you can't see them.

can you see this?

If you create a relay, than isn't that the same thing as centralization?

Only if everyone uses the same relay.
