The best tax is no tax. The second best tax is property tax.

Think about it:

-Income tax punishes work, and requires tracking of your activities to calculate the tax.

-Import taxes require tracking of your imports.

-Sales tax requires tracking of your company's sales and clients.

-Capital gains tax requires tracking of your investments.

They all require tracking. Which is highly bureaucratic. And it's highly invasive.

But property tax?

Property tax requires nothing. Especially if calculated based on square footage, or total bedrooms.

You don't even have to live in the property. The government doesn't need to know who lives there, or what any of them do. Privacy.

Simply pay $x/bedroom, everyone's happy. No tracking, no invasion.
