Musk, as a white South African during apartheid, benefited from systemic privileges like better education, economic opportunities, and societal advantages denied to the Black majority. While his personal achievements are significant, they were built on a foundation of privilege shaped by apartheid’s elitist structures. Musk avoids discussing this aspect of his past, possibly to maintain his self-made narrative and avoid controversy. This silence reflects a broader issue of how beneficiaries of systemic oppression often sidestep accountability, missing opportunities to engage in important conversations about inequality and historical injustice.

As a mere observer I have to wonder when that #privilege had started since not much seems to have changed in the last 2000 years 🤔. It appears the exploitation of #Africa by the #Europeans in the last few hundred years hasn’t really made a dent either way. It’s almost as if time stood still in that place. Mind you, nowadays Africans too tend to enjoy a plethora of Western inventions. Looks like some progress after all but the bottomline a still on the slim side in comparison. Is it really all just privilege?

You give a btoad historical perspective. My point about Musk's privileged background under apartheid or the systemic inequities that shaped his early life a mere summary.

Well… he’s a rich kid. Privileged, yes I guess you could say that.

Cool, right?
