What I understand from the Bessent interview is that US will do whatever it takes to confiscate #bitcoin from whoever they can. If you study history, this is how the state turns on you. This is why we will be the target. They’ll find any reason to go after people that publicly have hundreds and thousands of #BTC. Even if you hold ONLY a coin, you will be a target eventually. #self-custody

Unfortunately - 💯. I guess time locks on multisigs could make it non-negotiable for guilty pleas as you can disable access for yourself for x amount of time. Otherwise they will use all their power to frame you and confiscate your coins for “allowing” you to guilty plea.
They'll look at your buying history on the KYC platform you bought from and prosecute you solely based on that.
