Agreed. And for a lot of people, just becoming aware of what they're eating - whether that's by going vegan or going carnivore - the simple fact that they've stopped all the processed shit and constant snacking makes them feel amazing in the short term, which they then wrongly attribute to their choice of strict diet.

Carnivore is a profound intervention that can be taken too far. Mainly because our body requires connective tissue (collagen) to balance methionine, needs loads of calcium and other minerals, needs insulin signalling at the levels of the kidneys to maintain hydration, and requires adequate sugar to operate the thyroid and all of the downstream sex hormones.

Running your body long term in a mode reserved for emergencies has consequences.

I think a lot of “influencers” on Twitter spew the same stuff in their echo chamber to get followers. It’s easy to make a “carnivore brah” twitter and just regurgitate carnivore stuff and get followers. Works for a lot of other topics too.
