Farcaster is "sufficiently decentralized" but I think what that means is it's not and it's decentralization theatre.
It relies on global state and a name service whose decentralization is quite questionable, like you will only know by getting rugged when the backing company goes bankrupt.
In that way farcaster is similar to bluesky. Ambitions to be decentralized but controlled by a company.
