Our species is not proving able to cope with everyone having a megaphone. The federal government obviously cannot cope. It feels to me that nation states are breaking up and being replaced by online tribes.

Still, as the saying goes, "Everyone is a libertarian until their house blows down," meaning we still need to make our country work and, unless we choose left or right wing dictatorship, that process has to start at the ballot. One of the two parties no longer believes in the ballot, due to Donald Trump's verifiably horseshit lies. That's a problem.
