The groupthink may just be ideas you already agree with. Most people don’t realize an idea is not being represented until it is their own.

my brain mostly thinks in “devil’s advocate first” mode, so i try to think “why not?” first and then present my thoughts

I need to think more about how to solve this before commenting further. In the meantime, I’ll continue to contribute in my own way, even if it doesn’t align with the status quo ideas of the people who are building Nostr infrastructure
