i know people keep yelling about #walletofsatoshi and other custodial wallets, but i can't figure out how to get going with a non-custodial one without paying a few thousand sats and keeping the ability to receive zaps

Yeah it cost sats to open your own channel especially when you try to open a channel to a big player cuz they only accept larger channel sizes. Zeus or phoenix seems like the consensus on mobile.
