Anyone interested in sand batteries out there? I like the idea... Cheap materials etc

Want to try and DIY a smaller, insulated prototype for a suburban/residential use (Heating mostly I guess to start with).

If anyone if keen to kick around ideas on materials and basic designs please jump in.

Also keen to hear why its maybe a dumb idea ;)
