not just that. if you choose a relay that is not in agreement with the other relays, your relay gets shadowbanned.
There are no relays, they’re instances with users that communicate with one another. Fedi instances constantly block each other over practically anything at all. The whole network is completely divided and many ppl can’t see each other.

Nostr has censorship issues too tbf, but it’s not as insane as the fediverse.
relay can unilaterally censor u on nostr but u can always use multiple relays, backup your files and blast them to new relay

I greatly appreciate both of your insights from within.
Most ppl stick with what they’re already familiar and comfortable with, especially if it happens to work the best, which is a serious problem with nostr (since clients tend to suck).
For now, that elephant thing been around double the time.

mostr is good but it is not 1 system 2 accounts. you either stay on mastodon or stay on nostr.
what i have in mind is an instances that acts like your relay as well on nostr.
That doesn’t solve the issue of censorship on fedi, it makes it worse imo. I think it’s better they stay separate.
It sort of exists already, you can use the mostr.pub relay to see and interact with fedi.
