What's truly risky:

• Staying in the job you hate for 40 years

• Remaining in relationships that diminish you

• Suppressing your authentic self to please others

• Postponing your dreams until "someday"

Security is often the riskiest choice of all.

Very true. I’ve recently come to the realization that I’m actively living out points one and four over the past few months. Time for a change.

Powerful realization. You got this.

Security is a construct of the mind; freedom is the essence of the soul.

Spending 3+ years at college/university to get a piece of paper is up there too.

Security isn't something risky unless it's particularly overt (which can draw more unwanted attention). You can always improve your security.

It's safety that is the risky illusion to pursue. Many have surrendered their autonomy for the illusion of safety.

And then you realise 15 years later that all the Keynesian drivel you were taught as gospel is nonsense 🥲

Agreed. Good take as always.
