Isabella, we are at the bottom of a new bullish cycle. I can speak for myself that currently is not the best time to spend. It will be when we get at the top of the current cycle. History repeats itself, and @therationalroot or @100trillionUSD (on X) shows pretty cool diagrams following the evolution of bitcoin. We are still in an adoption phase (±4% in the world?) so it's a good store of value, maybe on your island you have more merchants accepting bitcoin as in Europe people are still trying to understand it. Of course, we have each our role to play to develop it locally to have a better acceptation rate for bitcoin payments.
