FYI, the current GPU market is a mess. Both Nvidia and AMD—especially Nvidia—are deliberately avoiding offering graphics cards with more VRAM. I’m still using an old GTX 1080 with 8 GB, and I’d like to upgrade it—not so much for gaming, but for AI work. And what are my options? I could drop €1000 and barely get double the VRAM I already have, even though I’m five generations behind—a nine-year-old card!
A new GPU now costs more than the rest of my entire computer, and the VRAM upgrade is pathetic.
If AMD really wants to compete and become a true alternative, they need to invest heavily in software developers and finally break Nvidia’s CUDA moat.
