The reason is because the US insists on a dollar/treasury global reserve system. Obviously if they just give that up none of the other stuff is necessary, but you can't have it both ways.

i guess some nuance is needed here, protect some countries and invade others, create war or government changes in other countries, condemn the Ukraine-Russia war but support the Israeli aggression to civilians….
