In reality, ordinals are doing us a gigantic favor right now.
We're currently undergoing a paid simulation (thank you shitcoiners) on what it looks like when, not if, the settlement layer becomes full with high fees and full blocks.
We all know these long term incentives for shitcoin ponzi's are short lived and the high fees will pass. In the mean time, we can thank them for paying the ecosystem to prepare itself for whats necessary to evolve and scale.
Plus the coins are moving from the idiotic hands, to the usual suspects. Thank you, you fucking idiots you. Dumb, and future poorer.

The talk of bitcoin "breaking" is complete bullshit FUD. Some software was poorly optimized to run in high fee environments but guess what? Last time i checked we're still producing blocks every ~10 min. Tick tock, next block.

Yes of course this is true and it’s good to actually recognise this. It’s been a shock to the system and it’s important to think about this rather than just laugh at degen behaviour. It’s a blessing in the disguise of shitcoinery on the bitcoin timechain which we weren’t expecting even in Feb. It’s another notch on the post for Bitcoin. But also it’s a great reminder of how to avoid mempool clogging with layer 2 / 3 solutions as adoption rapidly increases

If it becomes unsustainable to maintain Lightning channels, does the larger block conversation happen? No, but for real this time, not because people wanted BCH to happen.
Personally I think block size is perfect. Solid as f*ck. Never changing. Layered solutions will accelerate and all will balance. We are so early and this is a great reminder of what is to come
